On May 28, NAVS celebrated the inaugural gathering of the new Woman’s Board, an exciting milestone in volunteer leadership and community engagement. Meeting both virtually and in person at NAVS headquarters in Chicago, this diverse group of accomplished women brings fresh ideas, talents, and perspectives to our work advancing our mission.

The group includes Inna Kravchenko, a cruelty-free makeup artist and influencer who leverages her platform to advocate for ethical standards in the beauty industry, and Dory Kurowski, a corporate communications professional in the life sciences sector, supporting biotech and pharmaceutical clients focused on developing non-animal models for drug discovery. These are but two examples of the depth and breadth of experience the new members bring to NAVS.

While many members are based in the Chicago area, we’re thrilled to have representation from across the country—including Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Indiana, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The Woman’s Board will play a vital role in advancing NAVS’ vision of humane science through outreach, fundraising, and volunteer support.

We are so excited for what lies ahead and look forward to the impact and camaraderie this exceptional group will bring!
