Earlier this year, we told you about how your support helped the incredible work done by our friends at Kindness Ranch in Wyoming, who were able to purchase 30 new transport crates to assist with rescue trips.
Now, your support has helped us issue another grant to Kindness Ranch which will help them provide urgent medical care for a group of dogs recently released from research.
In late July, our very own Meredith Blanchard, NAVS senior manager of advocacy and policy, was able to visit Kindness Ranch in-person and see firsthand how your generous support was helping to give animals the care and compassion they deserve.
“Visiting Kindness Ranch was an inspiring reminder of what’s possible when compassion meets action—the peaceful Wyoming landscape and devoted staff offer a world entirely different from the laboratories these animals came from,” Meredith said. “NAVS is proud to support their lifesaving work, from transport crates to medical care for rescued dogs from China, helping ensure each animal’s future is filled with love and freedom.”
In the past, NAVS ASAP grants have also helped build dog yurts at Kindness Ranch to give their dogs the space and shelter they need to feel comfortable and at home.
In addition to our grant issued to Kindness Ranch, an ASAP grant was issued to Primates Incorporated (Westfield, WI) to construct their largest outdoor enclosure to date for two residents, Batman and Timon, who are both from out-of-state laboratories. The enclosure will be constructed around existing trees and will serve as a prototype for more enriching enclosures for their residents.
This is the type of work that you, our incredible, dedicated supporters, allow us to do. From Wyoming to Wisconsin, our ASAP grants help sanctuary and rescue organizations provide lifesaving care, enrichment, shelter, and compassion to dogs, cats, nonhuman primates, and so many more deserving animals.
